Vendors at the South Memphis Farmers Market accept several forms of payment, including cash, credit and debit cards, as well as EBT (formerly known as the Food Stamps program).

Customers who wish to use cash at the Market may shop directly with our vendors. For all other forms of payment we have established a token system that allows customers to purchase wooden tokens at the Info Booth, which may then be spent with vendors.

Tokens are sold in $5.00 increments for credit and debit card purchases. Vendors are able to make change for these tokens if customers do not spend the entire amount.

EBT is now known as SNAP (Supplimental Nutrition Access Program). These tokens are available in $1.00 increments, and vendors may not give change for them.

The South Memphis Farmers Market, in partnership with GrowMemphis, will provide a dollar-for-dollar match up to $10.00 when shoppers spend their SNAP benefits at the Market. These tokens are in $1.00 increments and must be spent on fresh produce.
